Asylum is lot more easier. In fact citizens of Cuba just have to show up in US and they get GC. GC is infact easier for people from China as there is always an option to file for Asylum given the communist govt.
In this case, though Obama said that course of law will follw. But ofcourse USCIS wont
pursue the case agressively and give up ("throw the match") and not go for appeals etc.

Hi,
U can save the pdf files as u save ur word docs or floppy symbol to the left side on the top bar as u know .But cannot edit the pdf files unless and until u have pdf writer in ur system.

I guess original poster is asking about saving forms after filling it up. You can save the form but the data that you filled up will not be saved. If someone is actually able to save the form along with the data, I'll be interested too to know how.

Yes mine processing date is 21st DEC and EB3 and also LUD is JAN'8'2007
if I don't see any update on my case I will wait for one more processing time update and then I can ask my Attorney to proceed for SR.

SR can be opened by company HR or lawyer if the service center processing time exceeds your receipt date by more than 30 days.
As sunny said, when NSC moves their processing time to more than 21st Jan 2007 ( I assume ur RD is 21st DEC and EB3)...your lawyer can call the normal 1800...number and raise a SR.
it's a simple process and lawyer should be knowing how to handle this.
I see people getting decisions within 30-45 days after SR.
Mine came in about 27 days.

To my best knowledge the PD is set at the I-140 stage. As a matter of fact, there's a field in the administrative part of that form where the PD is stated. Short of saying that it wouldn't be possible to claim an earlier PD at the I-485 stage I would assume that your lawyer should jump much more loops to get you an earlier PD then.

I do not have links, but I have heard of 140 approvals being called into question during 485 adjudication. Some have resulted in 140 denials at that point.

Received the RFE today. It was asking for my birth certificate copy & translation. My lawyer says this is very common. For me this is stupid, they already got my birth certificate copy and the translation.
Just make sure you covered all the bases and reply to them. It might not hurt to include another copy of your birth certificate and translation just for the heck of it along with your explanation who knows may be the earlier one got misplaced or messed up

I am at the risk of being laid off anytime but will not stop my contributions to IV
I am convinced that this cause is far bigger that 1 job or one individual .
To live with the insecurity of loosing status doubles the anxiety of loosing a job .
I hope that this situation doesnt befall on anybody here on IV....
We deserve better ...All of us here are educated and highly skilled and we deserved to be treated right .
If you think I am right .....Contribute atleast USD 10 right NOW and post it here.
God help us and Capre Diem ( Sieze the day ) to all of us
