Well, actual road map data and satellite data is all provided by the governments.
You should tell that to Tele Atlas and Navteq :)
Satellite data may come from government satellites but most companies do not have the resources to deal with the governments directly for this data. And road data comes from lots of sources but these two major companies have spent years curating it. You can't just buy road data from the government unless you want people driving off cliffs.

Hmm, interesting read. Seems lots of updates recently. Gone from 43 million to 120 million users in the last few years. Quite impressive database based multi-channel document handling and communication app. Useful replication of databases so that work can be done offline, and updated when next online.
Lots of gotchas tho, see the criticisms in the article. Notable that they only implemented a number-of-unread-emails count in the 2003 edition. :eek:

I'd like to know, as well. My choice between a 3G-capable iPad or a Wi-Fi model rests largely on how capably the location services work on the iPad. I'll be using a Wi-Fi model tethered to a phone, if this app works as well as advertised.

I was thinking about this game and if it would work on an 11" mba ultimate.

I tend to agree. Cut programs until our expenses match our current 'revenues.' When the two are equal or are in the black, let's immediately pass an balanged-budget amendment so this problem never happens again. And, raise taxes so our spending is less than our revenues and we can start paying off the debts Reagan, Bush and Bush left our grandchildren. It's time to start acting like grown-ups.
For the record, they are paying their fair share. The top 50% of wage earners pay over 95% of the income tax. Your disgusting attack on all conservatives wanting to '****' over all citizens is just that... disgusting. They don't pay 95% of all taxes. In addition, if you look at their income, they have tons of it that is not taxed (So, shouldn't they be paying even more? I don't have much income that isn't taxed, why should they?) They also have and control the vast, vast majority of the wealth in this country that is not taxed until sold for a gain (whether you realize it or not, there's some big concepts in that one sentence). Finally, all the other taxes are regressive or at best flat, which means the poor and middle classes are paying more than their fair share of those taxes. You don't seem to care about that, you're more interested in protecting 100-200 of the wealthiest of the wealthy.

Yes, it does support the new HD camera.
Photobooth takes photos in 720p, although video is done in 480. Strange.
At least, in the original DP2. 11A444d was very buggy for me with iTunes and Mail for some reason, had to downgrade, didn't think to try Photobooth then.

Taken from my trip to the Dallas Auto show last weekend; Nissan GTR aka Nissan Skyline. I've dreamed of having this car stateside for most of my youth. Now that it's finally here, Nissan guaranteed I will NEVER own one with the $80k price tag. :(
Even if you were able to manage to get one, you would be paying way too much for maintenance and wear and tear replacement parts.
This car is a masterpiece in terms of performance/(initial) price. But, the collateral damage is an excessive expense for parts and maintenance when you wring out as much performance as possible from a street legal sports car with the entry price still attainable for a regular guy.
Even if you were able to manage to get one, you would be paying way too much for maintenance and wear and tear replacement parts.

Couldn't care less when iphone5 or 4gs or whatever comes out. My iphone4 is an excellent device and delivers everything I could want from a smart phone.

Apple will come to its senses and launch this as a free service. If not in this iteration, perhaps the next. :)
I can see them giving it for free with the purchase of their hardware (like find my iPhone is free with the latest iteration of iOS devices) Apple after all is a hardware company.
Giving something that costs billions in servers and man hours for free to everyone doesn't make much sense to me.
