At 5:00 p.m. today, tropical storm Bebeng (international name Aere) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 70 km North of Daet, Camarines Norte (14.8°N, 123.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph.

by Monday afternoon. By Tuesday afternoon, “Bebeng” will be 210 km West of Basco, Batanes. And on Wednesday afternoon, “Bebeng” is expected to move farther away at 270 km North of Basco, Batanes.
According to PAGASA, beginning 5 p.m. today until 5 p.m. tomorrow, May 9, Luzon and Western Visayas will only have occasional rains and occasional gusty winds becoming stormy over the Eastern section of Luzon. The rest of the country will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from Southwest to South over the rest of Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate from Southwest to South with slight to moderate seas.
